dc.description.abstract The study investigated how primary school teachers perceived their empowerment as leaders during the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study made use of a qualitative approach. A purposeful sampling approach was used to select participants for this study. The participants were limited to primary school principals and teachers from selected schools in rural areas of the Mopani West District. Data were gathered using semi-structured and focus group interviews. The findings disclosed that rural primary schools lack resources, therefore, they need financial support to implement the Fourth Industrial Revolution successfully. Educational government departments should provide financial support to the schools as well as provide 4IR training to all the teachers. The findings verified that these recommendations would ensure the successful implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. en
