Author: Sonnekus, I.P.; Louw, W.P.; Wilson, Hentie
Abstract: The University of South Africa (Unisa) is one of the mega distance education institutions in the world as it has approximately 250 000 learners. This article describes the developing learner support model being implemented at the institution. According to the authors, the existing learner support system is already well developed, but they show that there is still much to be done in order to make it comply with national priorities and international best practice.
