This article proposes the design of a religious pedagogical communicative methodology for gangsters, by creating meaningful (truthful, norms, values and integrity) communicative actions. Oppressive situations are ‘anti-dialogisch’, maintains the status quo and oppress vulnerable people. Dialogue is a reciprocal communicative tool that can stem the power of a “gangsterism-colonisation” system. Meaningful discussion between people is possible through communication and reciprocal agogic actions. Dialogue provides transformative and critical insight to people’s reality. Change in people and their life-world can happen through agogic-hermeneutic faith actions that restores mutual solidarity and the freedom of people in destructive socioeconomic cultural systems. A transformative reciprocal communicative methodology is thus proposed for mutual discernment of the experiences and worldviews of gangsters. Intersubjective communication can help gangsters in the creation of life changing behaviour and responsible decision making processes. |
