Abstract:

his Unisa Community Engagement project is aimed at inspiring young people and their communities’ interest in Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) through Lego Robotics. I-SETs’ focus is on the training of a community of coaches, mentors and leaders in setting up and promoting teams, building and programming robots and teaching the learners how to do research. Learners gain valuable employment and life skills, preparing them for higher education and the work environment in the 21st century.
