dc.description.abstract |
Since the early eighties, the Republic o f South Africa has experienced a
series o f sweeping administrative, and political changes that have left
virtually no government structure unchanged. These changes directly
affect the daily activities of every individual official in one way or
another. In this regard a survey was carried out among members of the
Public Servants Association o f South Africa to obtain data on the
effect o f these changes on their values, expectations, and views on the
future. It emerges from the survey that public servants are extremely
uncertain about the future, and that as far as their future careers are
concerned, they lost trust faith in political office-bearers and the
Commission for Administration. |
