Man, in the widest sense of the word, currently finds himself in
the midst of a tide of change that is overturning virtually every sphere
of life. Public officials and government institutions in South Africa are
also experiencing a quickening pace of change and are under constant
pressure to meet the demand for an increasing variety of services. This
explorative article shows that there is a possible correlation between
public officials' experiences of the changes that are taking place and
their rate o f early retirements. Various topics for future research on this
issue are also identified. |
