Abstract

Jeanne Kotzé Louw (1929- ) is a very talented and versatile South African artist who has played an important role in the country’s art world. The materials in the Collection are of great research value to scholars interested in contemporary South African art. The Collection include useful and informative articles and press cuttings on the life and career of the artist, as well as photographs (colour as well as black and white) of Jeanne Kotzé Louw's oeuvre, more than 200 original sketches, an extensive up-to date curriculum vitae, and many personal photographs of the artist.
