dc.description.abstract Caroline Jeannerat and Helga Giesekke donated the documents of the Berlin Mission in 2007, 2013 and 2016. The Berlin Mission Archives Collection forms part of the Hesse Collection of German Africana and covers the period from 1867 to 2005. Anthropologists, genealogists, educational researchers and historians interested in the activities of Berlin missionaries and Vhavenda people will be able to browse through manuscripts, correspondence, newspaper clippings, books, journals, maps and photographs as they appear in English, Tshivenda, German, Afrikaans and Northern Sotho. The collection is fragile and may not be photocopied. en
