Abstract
It is important to have a common understanding about a definition for racism. Although an acute problem currently in South Africa, the road travelled has to be acknowledged. This chapter involves the Christian Church to combat racism in South Africa. Reconciliation is the only way to heal broken relationships: mutual love, confession forgiveness and restitution. The chapter offers some practical suggestions how the church can play a leading, catalystic and critical role in the combat of racism
