Abstract
Students and lecturers in open distance learning contexts have to deal with difficult and complex challenges. Many students are, for example, unable to access and/or utilise ITCs in support of their studies. To overcome such challenges, a blended approach of conventional and ODL teaching and learning and assessment tasks is proposed. The participatory action learning and action research methodology will be applied to reflect on conditions in both an ODL and residential tertiary context.
