dc.description.abstract | The Second World Water Forum (WWF) was organised by the World Water Council. It provided an opportunity for developing a provocative and challenging vision for the future, based on the best available knowledge through a worldwide consultation process. The challenges identified were matched with solutions devised comprehensively in an executable Framework for Action developed by the Global Water Partnership (GWP). This Framework is built on the key concepts of integrated water resources management (IWRM) and water security and aims at providing safe and sufficient water for all through extension of services to the billions of people worldwide who lack access. | |
