Development of Engineering Industries in the West African Subregion

Abstract

This paper focuses on the report of the Development of Engineering Industries in the West African Sub region (ECA/INR/WA/Eng/I/WP.l) was presented to the First Meeting of Experts of West African Inter-governmental Organizations and the Sixth Meeting of Committee of Experts of the Niamey MULPOC held in Cotonou in March 1983. The report examined the existing situation of the engineering industries and the projected demand for selected engineering goods and suggested an approach to the integrated development of the engineering subsector in the West African Sub region.
