dc.description.abstract	It is a signal honour for me to welcome you to the University of South Africa, South Africa’s “single dedicated distance education” as the national Plan for Higher Education has so designated Unisa. With the restructuring of higher education beginning January 2004, Unisa also became one of the six comprehensive institutions in the new higher education landscape. We are very delighted to have you at Unisa and it is a privilege and an honour to host this 1st Conference of the African Council for Distance Education.	en_US
