dc.description.abstract |
This presentation will explore changes affecting the development and management of academic library collections. As academic libraries shift from print to digital, their collection development approach has shifted from the more traditional, collection-focused approach to a more engagement-focused approach. The emphasis is no longer on building static collections of titles, but on providing access to dynamic, custom collections, data sets, gateways and tools. This presentation will focus on some of the trends and resultant implications for librarians. |
