dc.description Inventory in the Unisa Archives, Reverend Allan Boesak Collection (AB 001-02).52 tapes
dc.description.abstract Dr Allan Aubrey Boesak was inter alia an anti-apartheid activist, cleric and politician. He rose to prominence during the 1980s as an outspoken critic and opponent of the National Party's policies and played a major anti-apartheid activist role. Inventories, were created as each new donation was received. This collection of audio tapes consists of a large amount of sermons, lectures and speeches by Dr Allan Boesak. Other notable political figures’ speeches include Charles Villa Vicencio, Franklin Sonn and Tokyo Sexwale. Dust and heat has affected the sound quality of the recordings. These audio records have been migrated to CD-ROM, with the cooperation of the SABC to ensure their preservation. en
