dc.description.abstract The general aims of this research study were to: (1) Establish if a relationship existed between psychological career resources (PCR) and organisational commitment amongst employees in a parastatal institution in Botswana, and (2) to determine whether individuals from different age, gender, job level and marital status groups differed regarding psychological career resources and organisational commitment. The quantitative research study sampled employees (N=130) from a parastatal institution in Botswana. The results of the study indicated that there is a positive significant relationship between PCR and organisational commitment amongst employees in a parastatal institution in Botswana. The results may have interesting implications for top management and human resource practitioners in enhancing talent retention within the parastatal sector. The respondents to the study gained insights into ways to curate career goals and alternative ways to adapt to turbulent environmental challenges. en
