dc.description.abstract In South Africa there are too many teachers that are produced every year. The increase in the number of teachers per annum has worsened the uncoordinated system m tem1s of distribution of teacher personnel. Some schools were over staffed while others were under staffed. The solution was to redeploy teachers according to institutional curricular needs. The criteria used were school cm,-icular needs This study intends to find out the implications of redeployment on the professional self-concept of educators. Observations and interviews were used in the research. Teachers who are qualified ( REQV 13) and 7 years of teaching experience within Sedibeng West District were selected as participants. It is useful for managers to learn different strategies that can help employees to cope with change. What is revealed by research findings is that both teachers and principals personalized redeployment.
