dc.description.abstract A change in the Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) approach is called for in order to build academic quality. In the past the Information System (IS) infrastructure in South Africa was designed towards literacy and education age. Out of that emerged development of academic quality. But today's age require diverse skills. In this strategic infrastructure development approach a vision of the future is presented and characterized by the increase in industrial growth. By using the improved IS infrastructure it is possible to enhance quality academic development. This paper looks at possible solutions that maybe implemented by analyzing existing IS infrastructure that has been developed for education age in this generation. en
