dc.description.abstract	This article provides a description of the current state of Object Orientation in South African companies. It forms part of an MSc research report, looking at the pitfalls and guidelines in the transition to 00. The problems involved in this transition are discussed and possible solutions and guidelines are provided. The future trends for 00 are also investigated. The findings are presented as a collection of the issues involved in this transition.	en
