dc.description.abstract Hypertext is presented as a database accessing mechanism well-suited to computer aided learning applications. On the basis of informal experiments with prototype software, some benefits of structured hypertext are explored. Multiple dynamic hierarchies model and filter information structure and content through various visualisations and offer a browsing framework, navigational support and orientation cues while retaining conceptual simplicity and incorporating web-learning principles. en
