Report on statstical activities : Malawi

Abstract

The National Statistical Office (NSO) of Malawi is a Government Department whose mandate is governed by the 1967 Statistics Act to collect, compile, analyze and disseminate statistics for the country. The mission of the NSO is to produce and promote timely and relevant data and to promote its use for policy formulation, decision-making and research in both the private and public sectors for the advancement of the socio-economic status of all Malawians.
