dc.description.abstract	The overall aim of this paper is to review major commission-wide initiatives and program developments undertaken in the preceding year and to outline the directions for the current year 2002 program. To set the stage, the paper highlights in Section II and III the contents and outcomes of recent commission-wide initiatives and the prospective activities in the year ahead highlighting ECA's major flagship publications. Section IV reviews ECA's support to the implementation of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).
