Report on implementation status of recommendations of previous meetings of the Interagency Group for Water in Africa (Agenda item no. 4)

Abstract

The Administrative Committee on Coordination (ACC) of the United Nations Secretariat (New York) has a number of Sub-Committees dealing with various substantive issues such as energy, water, science and technology, rural development, population, space affairs,.., etc. The Sub-Committee on Water Resources (SWR) (hereinafter referred to as the Sub-Committee) promotes liaison, cooperation, collaboration and harmonization, at the global level, of activities in water sector by various UN agencies in different regions of the world. The Sub- Committee has a number of regional counterparts usually associated with the United Nations Regional Commissions.
