dc.description.abstract	The High Level Stakeholders Meeting on Sustainable Development was held at the UN Conference Centre, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) from 17 to 19 January 2000. The meeting was convened to set up a preparatory process for the review of the implementation of Agenda 21 in Africa. Participants would be invited to consider a possible Regional Agenda for the planned comprehensive review of Agenda 21 in 2002 and the modalities and means to undertake Africa's preparation for that purpose including a possible regional preparatory meeting in 2001. In this connection, stakeholders addressed the following issues:
