dc.description.abstract |
It is strange but not surprising that what Mqhayi wrote about more than hundred years ago still applies
and is even more relevant in contemporary contexts. This article, with its main focus on 'traditional poetry
and essay: in context'- through the employment of biblical images, phraseology and some linguistic
elements, IS an attempt to demonstrate the unparalleled power of poetry permeated by the biblical spirit.
The me;~sure of Mqhayi's strength and uticulation is in his unique artistic ability- using biblical language
as a literary device. |
