Abstract

The University College of Fort Hare by Z. K. Matthews, reprinted from the South African Outlook, 1957, pp1-35. In this article Prof. Matthews gives an overview of the history, facilities, status and achievements of Fort Hare since its opening in 1916. It is written in anticipation of the changes a new proposed bill to provide separate facilities of university standard for non-Europeans will have on the university.
