dc.description.abstract The “Battle of Rorke's Drift” during the Anglo-Zulu War took place at the site of the recently established Swedish Lutheran Oscarsberg mission station. However, histories of that conflict have almost completely ignored important sources stemming from the Swedish Lutheran missionaries who lived there at the time. That evidence sheds significant new light on the battle and its consequences for Oscarsberg, however, this evidence is not entirely reliable. en
