dc.description.abstract Small-business performance can benefit from computerisation. Unfortunately, however, most of the very small small-business enterprises do not have the financial means to acquire the services of a computerisation consultant. This paper looks at the design of a computerised consultation service that will help the owners/managers of small businesses to computerise. This service will use the input from the users of the system, and by using expert-system technology, will make a recommendation. en
