dc.description.abstract Students and lecturers in open distance learning contexts have to deal with difficult and complex challenges. Many students are for example unable to access and or utilize ITC's in support of their studies. In addressing such challenges a blended approach of conventional and ODL teaching and learning and assessment tasks is proposed. The participatory action learning and action research methodology will be applied to reflect on conditions in both an ODL and residential tertiary context. en
